What is Web Hosting?
Web hosting is the service that stores your website's files on a server and makes it accessible on the internet at all times. Most providers charge PKR 5,000 to 15,000 per year for it; Origin Labs includes it free for life with every website because our static technology makes it nearly free to run.
Web hosting in one sentence
Web hosting is essentially rented space on a computer connected to the internet 24/7, where your website's files live so anyone can access them by visiting your domain. Without hosting, your website exists only on your own computer and nobody else can see it.
Why hosting usually costs money every year
Traditional websites, especially WordPress sites, need a server that actively runs software, manages a database and rebuilds pages for every visitor. That server costs the hosting provider real money every month to operate, which is why they bill you annually, typically PKR 5,000 to 15,000 per year, sometimes more as your site grows.
How Origin Labs offers hosting free for life
We build every website using static technology: pages are prepared in advance and served from fast global networks instead of being rebuilt by an expensive server for each visitor. This makes hosting cost us a small fraction of what traditional hosting costs, so instead of passing that saving on as a discount, we pass it on as genuinely free hosting, permanently, for every client.
Common Questions
Is free hosting really free forever, or just the first year?
Genuinely forever. There is no year-two price increase because there is no real cost for us to recover; the offer is permanent for every client, with no time limit.
Does free hosting mean my site will be slow?
The opposite. Static hosting on global networks is typically faster than traditional paid shared hosting, which is part of why our clients' websites tend to load quickly even on mobile data.
What is NOT included in free hosting?
Your domain name registration (about PKR 3,000 to 4,500 per year) is separate and paid to a domain registrar, not to us. Custom web applications with databases or user logins also need different infrastructure, priced separately.
